An advisory body of veterans, military family advocates, historians, and community leaders — ensuring the American Veteran Vault remains permanently accountable to the mission it was founded to serve.
The Veterans Impact Council exists because any institution built to preserve military legacy must be accountable to the military community it serves. It is not a board of directors. It does not control operations or finances.
The Council provides mission guidance, community representation, and accountability oversight — and publishes an annual Impact Report so that Charter Founders, Founding Members, and the public can see exactly how the institution is serving its mission.

The Council will seat between 9 and 13 members. Members serve in a volunteer advisory capacity without compensation.
Members serve 3-year terms on a staggered schedule — ensuring continuity of institutional knowledge while creating structured opportunities for new perspectives.
The Council oversees publication of an annual Impact Report — a public document accounting for archive growth, community reach, and mission progress.
Per the Founders Charter, Charter Founders and Founding Members may nominate advisory council candidates in future governance rounds.
The Founders Charter will be the governing document of the American Veteran Vault — establishing the institution’s mission, the rights of Charter Founders and Founding Members, the Veterans Impact Council structure, and the principles governing the archive. Published before July 4, 2026.
Advisory council candidates are nominated by Charter Founders and Founding Members. To express interest, contact the founding team directly.
